Pristine sand beaches just minutes away

Fremantle is a harbor town. This means wherever you are in Fremantle, you are never more than a few minutes away from the beach. Fremantle is connected by train to Perth and other places on the coast. The trains are very frequent and you can reach Perth in as little as 20 minutes. There’s even a train a 2 am and another one at 4 am, if you fancy a trip into town at night for a party but still want to get back.

Weekend markets for great shopping

Another big draw in Fremantle is the weekend market (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The weekend markets stock a wide variety of goods ranging from fruit, vegetables, souvenirs and clothing. The prices are very low at these markets, especially for the fruits and vegetables (as low as $1 on some tables).

The area outside the market building has been designated for street performances. On weekends, you can catch magicians, musicians and a variety of other acts here.
