Scott Thornton


Scott Thornton is a former AFL defender for the Fremantle Football Club between 2002 and 2009. After being selected with the 66th selection in the 2000 AFL Draft Scott made his AFL debut in 2002. Scott played a total of 88 games for Fremantle including all 22 games in 2005. Unfortunately Illness and injury restricted him to just 66 games in his other seven seasons at the Dockers. Thornton announced his retirement during the 2010 season after breaking his leg while playing in the WAFL for South Fremantle. Scott also played 69 games for South Fremantle including three grand finals, their premiership victory in 2009 and also there two defeats in 2001 and 2009. Scott has continued his football career by taking up an assistant coaching role with South Fremantle in 2010 and owns a successful loan company Loan Monster with former Fremantle teammate Andrew Siegert.
